Dumbdore gay???

I got this email from one of my friends.

Hi Bob,

Hows it going?

I have spoken to a couple of people that are reacting to the Harry Potter book gay announcement. You read those books did u get the impression that Dumbldor (?) was gay? and if u did, did it make reading the book/s any less enjoyable? Was just curious as to ur take.

What is up with that? Why do we have to try to corrupt everything, how annoying is that? Any idea where this is coming from? Please, let me know, I'm curious how they made that assumtion. Anyway, I guess it doesn't really matter. He's still a great guy (even if he's fictitious).

Yes Bob, I'm afraid it's true. Ms. JK herself announced it:

At least in reading the books I don't think it ever really alluded to that fact at all. Just vague "personal tragedies" in his life. Whatever.

Yeah . . . I'm kind of ticked off about the whole thing, I mean, why ruin Dumbledore by making him gay? Whatever.

ugh I was so mad when I heard about this...why the heck does it matter if he is or isn't? This is a kids book...they don't think about that kind of stuff. I always just thought of him as a grandfatherly character who was more into education than getting married. I never thought he was gay...ugh!

to me it doesn't affect the book. since its a book and it never says in the book if he is gay, you can just think of him however. just like imagining what harry's house looked like; just because one person thinks it looks like that, doesn't mean you have to picture it like that too.

I don't know, dude. She made it pretty clear that the guy's a tinker bell.
