This is and was never meant to be a political blog. I don't feel like I know enough about politics to put my two cents in. I just wanted to express my disappointment in the political religious bigotry that has been occurring on the conservative side. I really think someone's religion shouldn't have anything to do with their politics and they should be laid aside. On the note, I don't think that their moral conduct should be laid aside (as in Bill Clinton's situation a few years ago), but their personal beliefs in good shouldn't be a determining factor. I feel that Huckabee is a bigot and he's only stayed in to take votes away from Romney. Would Romney be able to make it anyway? I don't know, but he would have had a better chance if Huckabee just dropped out (he didn't have a chance anyway). Anyway, my political rant is over. I'll try to keep this to a minimum in the future.

Bob Bateman! Polly Uffens here! (ok, Brady back in the day... you know how that goes.) I found you on Sheryl's blog. Nice to see you're doing well. You'll have to get me your contact info - my profile on my blog (theuffensfamily.blogspot.com) has a link to my email. We're tracking down people for a WJHS party this summer and would love you to come. Your girls are so cute! Good luck on the 3rd!
Well Bob, I will probably vote for Hillary if McCain is the republican candidate.
Oh, and I meant to say "Good for Huckabee." I suspect, but really can't say, that he is staying in purely for bigotry's sake. I think that he thinks he really has a shot, and I applaud him for sticking with it. Don't get me wrong though, I believe Mitt is the Best choice to lead our country, but I wouldn't want to be counted out of the race if it were me.
I think Huckabee just stayed in to spite Mitt. I heard Glenn Beck talking to him the other day and Glenn asked him why he was going after Mitt and not McCain since he was winning. He basically said because Mitt ran a negative ad in his state.
